Negative divisors on surfaces

We study negativity, rigidity and homological properties of divisors on surfaces, and relations between them. It turns out that strongly connected and rigid divisors can be characterised numerically. Moreover, it is possible to classify such divisors combinatorially. (Joint work with Andreas Hochenegger.)
